Welcome to Lights On

Welcome to Lights On

It is wonderful to think that the lights are on all over the United States. After School Programs are a wonderful gift to the students we serve.  It is also wonderful to be a part of all these children's lives in the after school hours.

We have had something happen to one of our program leaders.  A couple of years ago, Mrs. Diaz beat the fight against breast cancer.  She is a fighter.  Sadly, two weeks ago we found out that she has a tumor in her head.  Our 3rd/4th combo class has missed her when she is gone for testing but they are very supportive and helpful to all the substitutes we have been welcoming lately.  We are so proud of them and the concern they have had for Mrs. Diaz.

In preparation for Lights on After School, the students have written down what they are thankful for regarding our After School Program Think Together. They wrote down their ideas and drew pictures on cut out light bulbs which will be displayed this week.
